Out with the old

Haven't had much time to do anything as working 7 days is killing me but managed to squeeze in some time yesterday to pull the motor out.

The only hard bit about this was removing the bitch pin on the shift linkage but I have stumbled upon probably the easiest way to do it. I had some metal rods from my old S13 that hold the boot up, took the sleeve of the linkage and hit it down from above (there's enough space from the top so you don't need to lie down under the car to do it). Taking off the aircon pump (4 12mm bolts) also made taking the motor out a breeze as it had a tendency to want to touch the front of the frame when getting pulled up without an engine leveller.

Got some ARP headstuds with a favourable swap and waiting on some bearings and piston rings to go ahead with finishing the bottom end and putting the motor back together.

Next step will be a trip to the scrapyard to grab an EG manual pedal assembly and modify it to fit for the hydro line to the S80 gearbox then de-power the steering rack as I won't be running PS or AC.

In the midst of removing aircon/heater/PS related items.

Total of 25.3kg's was shed (not including fluids).

Seems to be almost perfect!

Engine mounts also came. Opted for 60a innovative mounts.
